Saudi Arabia’s PPTCO secures SAR200mn growth capital from Aliph Capital

Saudi Arabia-based Pet Products Trading Company (PPTCO) has secured SAR 200 million in growth capital from Aliph Capital, a private equity fund manager focusing on midmarket and emerging high-growth enterprises in the GCC region.

Of this investment, Aliph Fund I will contribute up to SAR 80 million to expand PPTCO's presence across Saudi Arabia.

This capital infusion will be used to enhance PPTCO's existing and new international brands, expand showrooms, and advance the company's digital capabilities. Mohammed Al Roumi, Founder and CEO of PPTCO, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Aliph, seeing it as an opportunity for expansion and innovation in the pet products sector.

Farah Al Mazrui, Head of Investments at Aliph Capital, highlighted the investment's significance as Aliph's first in Saudi Arabia and emphasized the potential for growth in the Saudi pet sector, which is still in a nascent stage compared to more developed regional markets.

This investment aligns with Aliph Capital’s strategy of supporting high-growth businesses in promising sectors and contributing to regional diversification efforts.

PPTCO, a leader in the Saudi pet business, is known for its innovative approach and comprehensive offering of products and educational content aimed at improving animal welfare in the kingdom.

The company has a broad portfolio of over 80 brands and serves a diverse customer base, including pet retailers, e-commerce platforms, veterinarians, hypermarkets, government entities, and third-party marketplaces across Saudi Arabia.
