Prince Andrew joins Royal Family for Sandringham Christmas service

The Duke of York has been spotted arriving with Prince Charles for an early morning Christmas Day service at the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

The brothers walked side-by-side as they headed into St Mary Magdalene Church for the 9am ceremony.

Hundreds of well-wishers have joined a queue to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family as they head into their traditional 11am service.

This morning is the first time Prince Andrew has been seen with his brother since giving a car crash interview earlier this year in which he showed little remorse for his relationship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

He stepped down from public duties following his appearance on BBC’s Newsnight, in which he denied allegations he slept with Virginia Giuffre, an alleged sex slave of his billionaire friend.

In an attempt to cast-doubt on her allegations, he claimed he ‘can’t sweat’ due to a medical condition and said he distinctly remembered being at Pizza Express in Woking on the night of one of the reported incidents.

The Duke of Edinburgh is unlikely to attend and is expected to rest at home today.

He was discharged King Edward VII’s hospital in central London on Christmas Eve after spending four nights there due to a pre-existing condition.

Prince George, six, and Princess Charlotte, four, are also expected to attend the annual service for the first time this year.
