Egyptian FM demands intl. organizations to ramp up humanitarian response to Sudan's civil war
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry addressed the African Council for Peace and Security regarding the civil war in Sudan.
He emphasized Egypt's priorities in the conflict, including the need for a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, preserving Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and state institutions, and advocating for a genuine Sudanese political solution.
Shokry also called on international organizations to increase their humanitarian response efforts and support neighboring countries in accommodating displaced Sudanese citizens.
