The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for rain in regions on Scotland's east coast, including Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeen, and Aberdeenshire.
This alert comes after these areas were heavily impacted by flooding during Storm Babet. The warning is in effect from 12:00 on Thursday until 12:00 on Saturday. While the rain is expected to be less heavy than during the storm, it could lead to flooding, especially if it falls on already saturated ground.
Forecasters have cautioned that this rain may cause difficult driving conditions, road closures, and possible delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
Storm Babet resulted in three fatalities in Scotland and significant damage due to extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain and high winds, which caused rivers to overflow and breached flood defenses.
